Though occasionally very funny and often entertaining “Chevalier” remains a flimsy comedy that might have been titled “The Metro Sexual Special Olympics” where all the points are given for style. If a male director had similarly focused upon the group foibles of being a “Cosmo Girl” the audience would have been enraged by the display of male chauvinism. Women directors are in very short supply but taking the snide approach seems more like going over to the dark side rather than making a grab for the light sword.

Good line: Pebbles come and pebbles go.
